Check a Blog’s Google Page Rank

Check a Blog’s Google Page Rank

As Google became the most popular and widely used search
engine worldwide it is normal that ranking higher in the results returned when searching for something is preferred. But getting to be among the first 10 results for a given keyword or a set of keywords in Google’s results is not an easy task. The factors that determine where should your blog or website be positioned in the results are quite a lot and nobody probably except Google themselves knows them all. This is all done in order to prevent webmasters from cheating, and although that helps in some way a lot of people succeed in tricking the system and ranking higher than others. Cheating is not something that we recommend doing, because it may as well have a reverse effect and you might find yourself in Google’s site blacklist for that. One of the absolutely legal ways to improve the position of your website or blog is to increase it’s PR or Page Rank and this is done by building quality backlinks to your site. How this can be done is a matter of another discussion, but for now lets settle for a more detailed explanation of what is Google’s Page Rank and how it is being measured, along with a links to a website where you can check your current PR….

Free Backlink to your Blog

Back links is the name of the incoming links you get to your website from other sites. In the search engine optimization world, the number of back links is one indication of the popularity or importance of that website or page. Google for example uses the back links for a given website in order to decide on it’s popularity and when calculating a Page Rank (PR), thus in general more back links mean that your website will get a higher rating. Especially when talking about Google and their PR you should consider that there are different types of back links each of which has different weight. Having fewer back links from higher rated and popular websites my give you an advantage over a lots of back links from new and not popular websites. Sometimes back links are also called incoming links, inbound links, in links, and inward links, but they all refer to the same thing it is just that the term back links became the most popular probably thanks to Google.

And since it is quite hard to start getting good backlinks if you recently started a new blog we give you the opportunity to easily get a free backlink here. Just post a link to your blog in the comments for this topic along with a short description and it will be added in the post. We reserve the right not to include some websites if we decide they are not suitable for that! You are also welcome to link to this page on your blog, but you are not required, just have in mind that by linking to this page the backlink you get will be more helpful to you… ;)

Cyclone Aila hit bangladesh

In Bangladesh Thousands of people were made homeless as tidal waves leaping up to 13 feet high rolled onto those coastal districts. The waves damaged river and flood-control embankments and dykes, submerging many villages in Khulna, Satkhira, Patuakhali and Barisal.

A large number of domestic animals and standing crops on farmland were lost in the surge.

Food and Disaster Management Minister Abdur Razzak officially confirmed five deaths in Bhola and Patuakhali.

Speaking at a hurriedly called press briefing at his ministry, he however could not give more details on casualties and losses as Bangladesh Navy and Coastguard ships could not go to the offshore islands from Chittagong due to the turbulent sea, reports UNB.

Heavy rain raised water level of rivers submerging thousands of thatched houses and shanties while strong wind uprooted trees and toppled houses. Many unions went under knee- to waist-deep water.
